The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) of 2018 is the strictest privacy law and has a national impact on anyone doing business in California. The new law has taken into effect on January 1, 2020. California AG is expected to start enforcement starting July 1, 2020. The first private action law-suit was filed in San Francisco County Court against Salesforce on Feb 5, 2020.
